Wright Hotspring Spa Pools are one of the oldest spa pool companies in New Zealand. The reason for our longevity? Great service, exciting products and loyal customers who generate a large percentage of our business by referring friends and neighbours to us.
After making fibreglass in-ground spas and wooden hot tubs, we went on to acrylic in-ground spas and later on, swim-spas. Since 1990, 95% of our business has been portable spas. Our commitment to carrying only the best made spas and to providing superior customer service has earned us international recognition.
OUR PROUD HISTORY OF SERVING OUR CUSTOMERS:
- Founded in Christchurch, 1975. First premises, Radley St, Woolston. Manufacturer of in-ground spa pools, hot tubs, spa pool equipment, and spa accessories.
- Expanded to new premises in Victoria Street in 1981.
- Began exporting spas to Europe - 1981
- Relocated to new premises at 1013 Ferry Road in 1986.
- Wright Spa Pools was proudly appointed exclusive South Island dealer for HotSpring Portable Spas, the world's largest portable spa pool manufacturer - 1990.
- Expanded to new larger showroom for portable spas at current address, in Ferry Road in 1992.
- Opened Wright Spa Pools Wellington showroom, in Lower Hutt, in April 1993.
- Wright Spa Pools Wellington expanded to new showroom in Lower Hutt, January 1994.
- Wellington showroom acquired adjoining showroom, doubling size of their showroom and office space, June 1994.
- Palmerston North agent appointed - Sept 1998
- Christchurch acquired adjoining showroom and warehouse, doubling showroom and warehouse/office space in August 1996.
- Timaru Agent appointed - August 2000.
- Wright Spa Pools Ultimate Contour model spa pools were chosen as the spa of choice to be fitted to the QEII luxury liner as part of it's renovations after the Falklands war.
- Wright Spa Pools Ultimate Contour model spa pools were installed aboard the Princess Gunard luxury liner.
- Recipient of the Designmark award in recognition of our Thermakleen filter/heater unit.
- Recipient of HotSpring Spas NZ Ltd, award for Most Growth - New Zealand, at HotSpring Australasian Dealer Conference.
- Recipient of HotSpring Spas NZ Ltd, award for Highest Sales Australasia.
- Murray Wright, founder of Wright Spa Pools, proud recipient of a special merit award from both HotSpring Spas NZ Ltd, and Watkins Manufacturing Corporation of Vista, California, for Murray's 21 years of leadership and innovation to the hot water industry.
- Recipient of Watkins Manufacturing Corporation's prestigious "HotSpring Spas International Dealer of the Year" award - presented at Watkins Manufacturing Corporation - dealer conference at National Spa & Pool association spa & pool show, Pheonix, USA.
- Recipient of HotSpring Spas prestigious "Dealer of the Decade" award.
- Wright Spa Pools, as a manufacturer, built first spa pool in the South Island, 1975.
- First New Zealand spa manufacturer to build blower for spa.
- First New Zealand spa manufacturer to develop purpose built underwater spa light.
- First New Zealand manufacturer to make spa baths.
